Lee was born at Roseland Community Hospital on September 6, 1945

After graduating from Eisenhower High School in 1963, Lee attended Moraine Valley Community College and then DePaul University. Lee worked his way through college, starting at Western Electric, through the baby bells, AT&T, and Lucent Technologies, from which he retired in 2004.

Lee was also a veteran of the United States Army, serving as a medic. He had the privilege earlier in 2025 to take part in Honor Flight Chicago.

Lee was married to Sharon (nee Termunde) for 56 years. Their family spent time each summer at the family cottage in Pentwater, Michigan; his family has fond memories of fishing and boating with Lee as their captain and eating ice cream each night while watching the sunset.

Lee was steadfast in his faith, loved his family dearly and will be missed by those who had the pleasure to know him.

Lee left us on December 12, 2025 at the age of 80.
